Dental Check-Up In West Ryde – What Can Patients Expect?
The fact is that great oral health starts with regular dental check-ups!
So what can new patients expect when they visit us for a general check-up and clean in West Ryde?
A review of your medical history
If you are a new patient, Dr Suh will take the time to ask you about your diet and any medication requirements because these can impact your treatment and overall oral health.
The visual examination
Next, Dr Suh will give you a visual examination, looking at the mouth, face, neck and jaw. He will be looking for any abnormalities that may be present, in particular – precancerous conditions.
Full-digital diagnostic examination
New patients will also receive a full-digital diagnostic examination using the latest 3D technology. This service gives our dentist a more detailed look at your mouth.
Finally in this phase of the dental check-up, our West Ryde dentist will take time to listen to any concerns you have about your oral health and answer any questions.
General cleaning and scaling
During the next stage of the dental check-up and using the latest gentle dental techniques, Dr Suh will ensure any remaining plaque and tartar build-up is removed from your teeth. Once all signs of plaque are removed, your teeth will be polished to shift any stubborn surface staining. After polishing, you will be given some liquid to flush and rinse out any debris that remains from the general cleaning treatment.
Aftercare treatment plan in NSW
Once your examination is complete and your teeth have been cleaned, Dr Suh will give you a comprehensive and personalised treatment plan. This is a detailed plan of action, complete with recommended treatments that will help you to maintain a healthy mouth.
So that’s it…
The whole process from start to finish should take no longer than 20-30 minutes and is recommended by our West Ryde dentist every 6 months.
